  Red Igp Calabria  

Grape Variety: Nerello Calabrese, it is thought to be of Greek origin and widespread mainly in the provinces of Cosenza and Catanzaro. Nerello Calabrese, a vine imported by the Greeks between the eighth and seventh centuries. A.C., is grown with the traditional "sapling" system. Merlot originates from Gironde, in the South-West of France, and in particular from the Bordeaux area from which some of the most prestigious wines in the world are born

Type: Calabria Protected Geographical Indication
Alcohol content: 13% Harvest: from mid-September
Vinification: Classic in red with maceration on the skins for 12-15 days
Aging: in barrique for about 12 months where the malolactic fermentation also takes place
Color: garnet red with bluish hues
Taste: powerful, complex, with notes of cocoa and coffee Pairings: the best is dictated by instinct.

White Igp Calabria 

Grapes: Pecorello or Pecorino: it is assumed that it was introduced in Calabria towards the end of the 1800s, but this should not suggest a relationship with the Pecorino vine known in central Italy, being a completely different variety. Today widespread in the provinces of Catanzaro and Cosenza.

Grapes: 100% Pecorello

Type: Calabria Protected Geographical Indication Alcoholic content: 12.5%

Harvest: Mid September

Vinification: Soft pressing of the must and fermentation at controlled temperature in reduction

Aging: in steel vats for about 6 months on fine lees

Color: straw yellow Taste: harmonious and vibrant

Pairings: raw fish, smoked salmon, escalopes.

Evaluation: Veronelli's wines 2014 and 2015 84/100

Grapes: Greco bianco: it is assumed that it was introduced in Italy by the Hellenic colonists in the seventh century. B.C. Today widespread in the provinces of Catanzaro and Reggio Calabria.

Grapes: 100% Greco Bianco

Type: Calabria Protected Geographical Indication

Alcoholic content: 14.5%

Harvest: late with drying of the grapes on the vine for 1 month

Vinification: Soft pressing of the must and fermentation at a controlled temperature for 15 days

Aging: refinement in used wood from 300 liters for 6 months and in bottle for 3 months

Color: amber yellow

Taste: warm and enveloping, juicy and impressive

Pairings: dried fruit, aged cheeses, chocolate cake, also excellent at the end of a meal.

Harvest: from mid-September

Vinification: Tapping of the must after 6-8 hours of contact with the skins, fermentation at a controlled temperature
